Our report Principles for Responsible Timber Construction. Pathways to Action provides the latest scientific evidence, best-practices and regoinal insights to guide policymakers and leaders in advancing in building with wood and other bio-based materials.
Initiated by Built by Nature and Bauhaus Earth in support of the Forest and Climate Leaders’ Partnership (FCLP) / Greening Construction with Sustainable Wood, the Principles for Responsible Timber Construction aim to build consensus and confidence across the value chain, aligning policies, business models and sustainable forest management approaches in FCLP member States and beyond.
Drawing on insights from international experts in forestry, architecture and climate science, our publication complements the five guiding Principles with perspectives on policy, innovation and good practice. Each chapter identifies opportunities to scale nature-based construction while safeguarding forests, communities and the climate.
